Privacy

Useful product evidence, without personal profiles.

PawExact collects product-use context, not identity profiles. This notice explains exactly what a report contains, how it is moderated, and when it is deleted.

Current status

Structured report collection is active.

A submitted report is stored privately in the PawExact production database and enters an editor review queue. It is not published as a raw report.

Data collected

Only compatibility context is requested.

Stored fields include the machine and litter product, firmware if provided, days used, number of cats, coat context if provided, observed outcomes, free-text details, and a brand-relationship disclosure. We do not request names, email addresses, accounts, order numbers, or street addresses.

Use and publication

Reports are moderated before they affect a result.

Submissions are checked for completeness, duplication, conflicts, and personal information. Accepted observations may be aggregated into compatibility evidence. Raw reports remain private; any quoted text is separately reviewed and stripped of identifying details before publication.

Abuse prevention

Short-lived, pseudonymous controls protect the form.

The server temporarily counts report and deletion attempts per network address. The database receives only a keyed, irreversible address digest—not the address itself. Each window expires after 10 or 15 minutes, and expired digests are removed by the daily retention job.

Minimal site measurement

Daily totals, without visitor identifiers or cookies.

PawExact counts page views by date, event type, and URL path so editors can see which compatibility results are useful. The analytics record contains no cookie, account, visitor ID, network address, user agent, referrer, query string, or raw event timestamp. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this measurement.

Self-service deletion

The submission receipt includes a deletion code.

A high-entropy code is shown once after a report is stored. PawExact saves only its SHA-256 digest. Anyone holding the code can use the self-service deletion page to permanently remove that report without an account, name, or email.

Retention

Raw reports have a hard expiry.

Every raw report is deleted no later than 24 months after submission. Reports rejected during moderation are deleted within 30 days of the rejection decision. A database job enforces these rules daily; self-service deletion removes a matching report sooner.

Contact boundary

No unattended privacy inbox is advertised.

PawExact does not currently publish an email inbox. Report deletion is available directly by code; a monitored correction and privacy contact will be added before the site leaves private preview. Do not send personal information through the report form.
